Spirits can stay earth bound for all manner of reasons. They simply may be waiting for a loved one before they move on, sometimes they are fearful of moving on themselves, and sometimes they feel they have ‘unfinished business’ and cannot move on without help…
The ‘energy’ present from the spirit or entity will very much be dependant on the spirit(s) that is still present in the home or building. In our experience, the spirit energy can clearly be a loved one showing up to comfort the grieving on celebration days, or it can be a spouse, still ‘protecting’ their partner from the other side, or highly irritated beings who did not wish to leave their physical form in the first place and are annoyed by the new people in ‘their’ home. These spirits can make themselves felt, or heard, and it’s not always pleasant.
One of our clients moved into a Victorian house and felt immediately the presence of two ‘mature’ Victorian gentlemen. They were brothers. They were clearly irritated by her presence in the house as they felt that it was still very much theirs, so they would pinch her big toes that stuck out from under the duvet every night to wake her.
To help our client and the spirits move on we performed ceremonies that help the spirit connect to their guides and ‘move on’ to the light. Immediately the spirits left, and the energy in the house felt lighter. In addition our client was able to sleep through the night without hinderance.
